Implosion
Watercolor portrait on 300lb cold press watercolor paper. Completed in 2022. Before the image of a woman emerged through the depths of color, this artwork went through it’s own metamorphosis as a nonobjective abstract painting. The name implosion comes from the inner experience I and so many others feel while revisiting a certain event hoping to reconcile and grow from the experienced range of emotions. This work is a physical history of inner happening that challenges the viewer to inquire and reflect in themselves.
